Project Overview

Revamping the Work Request Management System (WRMS)**

• The Work Request Management System (WRMS) is Catalyst IT's internal platform used to manage various employee tasks such as timesheets, leave requests, and IT equipment orders. Over a decade old, the system had become cumbersome for both new hires and long-term employees, significantly impacting productivity. My role involved addressing these usability issues to create a more efficient and user-friendly experience.

Key responsibilities

• Analysing and Documenting the Existing System: Conducted a thorough analysis of the as is and to be state of the application.

• Collecting Requirements and User Feedback: Engaged with employees across different departments to gather requirements, insights and feedback.

• Suggesting UI/UX Enhancements: Based on the collected data, provided targeted suggestions for UI and UX improvements to streamline workflows and enhance user satisfaction.

• Producing Wireframes, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria: Developed detailed wireframes to visualise the proposed changes, created comprehensive user stories to capture user needs, and defined acceptance criteria to ensure the final product met all requirements.
