Community Projects
Below are the community projects that I'm proudly part of. They have shaped me into a dynamic leader and community builder who can handle a million moving parts while focusing on the main goals. I’m skilled at juggling big projects, rallying people around a cause, and making sure everyone has a great time doing it. I lead with purpose and a dash of fun, bringing a unique blend of passion and professionalism to every role I take on.
I took on the challenge of leading the DreamMakers Career Summit in Wellington and Auckland, a project dear to my heart. This event was all about giving Vietnamese students and professionals a place to connect, grow, and feel at home. I wrangled volunteers across four time zones, crafted social media magic, and even ran workshops. The best part? Seeing young Vietnamese come together, learn, connect and thrive.
As the go-to person for bringing Vietnamese professionals together in New Zealand, I’ve been leading events that mix professional networking with a good dose of fun. Whether it’s brainstorming event ideas or rallying volunteers, I’m all about building connections that matter. Think of me as the social glue holding our community together—minus the sticky mess.
At Viet Hub NZ, I guide team members in project management and lead the design and development of our website. Alongside this, I’m hands-on with a variety of events and initiatives—always ready to step in wherever needed. My work spans managing our workspace across five major projects, mentoring in efficient workflows, and developing content for Viet Radio.
I also take on the role of Viet Radio presenter and event wrangler, and ensuring our events are seamless and impactful. Together with our passionate team, we bring Vietnamese culture to Aotearoa, fostering a sense of connection and belonging for everyone in the community.
Ever wondered what happens when Vietnamese culture meets Kiwi airwaves? Enter “The Viet Vibe,” the radio show where I played DJ, cultural ambassador, and occasional comedian. Whether you wanted the latest Vietnamese tunes or a deep dive into our traditions, I had you covered. It was like a little slice of Vietnam, served with a side of Kiwi.
